indeed, it's a small world after all
Walking across the OAKA
Complex this morning, I ran into a young woman looking to trade pins. I offered
her my Athens pins that The Morning Call had printed up and she was thrilled.
She gave me a pin from the U.S. Diving Team.
Turns out she was Kimiko Soldati, a two-time Olympian from
Texas who's
doing the 3-meter women's springboard.
And she knows former Allen High diving and soccer star Chris
Devine, who narrowly missed making the 2000 Olympic Team.
The world is getting smaller every day.
